Despite the government’s decision to delay the reopening of schools for the second term by a week, several learning institutions in Busia County are still unable to resume classes. Floodwaters from the Nzoia River and Lake Victoria have submerged these schools, rendering them inaccessible. Among the affected institutions are Namabusi and Budalang’i secondary schools, along with Musoma, Buluani, Maduwa, Runyu, Makunda, Rugunga, Rwambua, and Iranya primary schools.
