The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police command successfully intervened in a child trafficking scheme, saving five minors from suspected traffickers. Two female suspects, Kulu Dogonyaro and Elizabeth Ojah, were apprehended on April 27, 2024, at Kagini Junction, Abuja, as they attempted to transport the children into the FCT. Despite initially evading capture by Sokoto police, they were arrested by FCT officers. The rescued children, aged 6 to 12, were handed over to the Sokoto State Police Command for further investigation and family reunification. CP Benneth C. Igweh, Commissioner of Police for the FCT Command, emphasized the importance of vigilance among parents and urged them to report any suspicious activities promptly.
