The Minister of Education, Dr Morufu Olatunji Alausa, has raised concerns over the increasing vulnerability of the Nigerian girl child to extortion and child labour. Dr Alausa spoke during the Traditional and Religious Leaders’ Conference on Girls’ Education in the North East Zone, held on Thursday at the New Banquet Hall, Government House, Bauchi.
The event, organised by the Sultan Foundation for Peace and Development in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Education, focused on improving the Adolescent Girls Learning Experience, AGILE, in the region.
