Three days ago, a poignant photo circulated in Kenya showing a man carrying a child on his shoulders amidst flash floods in the Mai Mahiu area. The man, identified as Stephen Njoroge Wambui, spoke to Mururi TV on May 1st, explaining in Kikuyu the desperate efforts to retrieve bodies from the mud. Despite the emotional impact of the image, Wambui clarified that the child was not his own. He described himself as a construction worker, emphasizing his need for assistance after losing personal belongings like his phone and shoes in the floods.
