The Federal Government has approved a major overhaul of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), introducing sweeping reforms aimed at repositioning the scheme for greater productivity and skills development. The Federal Executive Council (FEC) also approved a leadership restructuring that will see the NYSC headed by a civilian, while the military continues to provide security support for corps members nationwide.
