The Philippines has launched its first-ever active shooter safety drill programme in public schools as authorities intensify efforts to protect children and teachers from rising concerns over school violence. The Department of Education introduced the safety simulation at Manila Science High School in partnership with the Philippine National Police, with plans to expand the exercise nationwide.
