The Border Management Authority has arrested a taxi driver for attempting to smuggle 14 undocumented children at Lebombo Border Post. The children, aged between 6 and 16, were intercepted on Friday.
The minibus taxi driver was charged with aiding and abetting illegal entry. “The rescued children were handed over to the Department of Social Development for care and support”.
