February 2 2024- Cameroon is set to become the first African country to routinely administer a new malaria vaccine to children. The vaccination campaign, set to begin on Monday, is considered a milestone in the long-standing effort to combat malaria in Africa, which accounts for 95% of global malaria deaths. The new vaccine is expected to save lives and provide significant relief to families and the country’s health system.
