Years After Leaving School, Women in Northern Nigeria Return to Classrooms to Rewrite Their Futures

After years away from formal education, growing numbers of women in northern Nigeria are returning to the classroom in a determined effort to transform their lives and support their families. Despite the challenges of childcare, household responsibilities, and financial constraints, many are seizing a second chance at education in a region where more than half of girls remain out of school, according to UNICEF.
