Meaning
Cyber kidnapping is a scam where a victim is deceived into paying a ransom.
The victim is told to isolate and send pictures of themselves as if they are being held captive. The photos are then sent to the victim’s family to extort a payment. The victim may comply because they believe their family will be harmed if they don’t.
