Highlights: NECO releases 2023 SSCE results

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the results of the 2023 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE).
Additionally, NECO has blacklisted two supervisors in Oyo and Lagos States, along with one examination center in Borno state, for involvement in examination malpractices during the 2023 SSCE external.
The supervisors were blacklisted for poor supervision and aiding malpractices, while the Borno center was blacklisted for aiding and abetting by sharing WhatsApp messages with candidates.
74,950 candidates registered and 74,342 actually sitting for the exam. Key highlights include 75.59% of candidates achieving Credit and above in English Language and 92.75% in Mathematics. Overall, 67.35% obtained five Credits and above including English and Mathematics, while 84.11% achieved this without including these subjects.
8,518 candidates were booked for various malpractice cases.
