Meaning

Lighthouse parenting is an approach where parents offer guidance and support without controlling every aspect of their child’s life. Coined by Dr Kenneth Ginsburg, a paediatrician and author, it’s based on the metaphor of a lighthouse standing strong while guiding ships through difficult waters.
