A tech company in Ibadan has launched the first digital classroom to equip students, artisans, and graduates with essential technological skills. The initiative, facilitated by FOUND Africa Technology, aims to create jobs and reduce unemployment in Nigeria.

The project plans to establish 100 digital classrooms in public schools and local areas across Oyo State by the end of the year, currently serving 150 students. Managing director Olajide Aboderin emphasized the need for technological literacy, especially in Artificial Intelligence, to align with global trends and enhance job opportunities for the youth.

The launch of the first digital classroom in Ibadan reinforces its reputation as a pacesetter, following its history of being the first to host notable institutions like the first skyscraper, university teaching hospital, television station, and university.
