The motion urged school leaders to undergo suicide prevention training and called for mental health first aid training in all schools. Delegates emphasized the urgent need for action, expressing concern over the rising rates of suicide, suicide attempts, and suicidal thoughts among teachers. The Department for Education acknowledged the seriousness of the situation and pledged to prioritize the wellbeing of school staff.
