Mrs. Betsy Obaseki, representing the Edo State Governor, administered vaccines to an infant during the launch of the 2018 Maternal New-born and Child Health Week (MNCHW) in Benin City, Edo State. Dr. Ebere Anyachukwu, Health Adviser at the British High Commission Abuja (BHC), urged Nigerian parents to vaccinate their children against malaria once the vaccine becomes available in the country. Anyachukwu emphasized the importance of the malaria vaccine, along with other preventive measures, in the fight against the disease, speaking ahead of World Malaria Day scheduled for April 25.
