A new WalletHub study has ranked U.S. states and the District of Columbia based on their education systems. Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey, and Wisconsin were identified as having the best school systems, while New Mexico was ranked the lowest. The study highlighted high dropout rates and poor math test scores as factors contributing to New Mexico’s low ranking. The rankings were based on criteria related to “quality” and “safety” of education across all states and D.C.
