Tinubu Demands School Safety as Fire Kills 17 in Zamfara Islamic School

President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday expressed deep condolences to the parents, guardians, and families of the victims who lost their lives in a tragic fire incident at an Islamic school in Kaura Namoda, Zamfara State.
The devastating fire at the Tsangaya school (Almajiri school) claimed the lives of 17 children and left 15 others injured.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu extended sympathies to the state government and school proprietors, praying for the swift recovery of those receiving medical treatment.
The president emphasized the need for schools—both public and private—to make the safety and security of children a top priority. He also directed education sector regulatory authorities to ensure strict compliance with safety standards to prevent such tragedies in the future.
