Dept. of Education investigates DC Public Schools on disability discrimination allegations

The U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) is investigating D.C. Public Schools (DCPS) to determine if the district is failing students with special needs or disabilities after OCR notified DCPS Chancellor Lewis Ferebee on Wednesday, initiating the probe.
