Bauchi State Police Arrest Father for Impregnating Daughter
The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested Umar Sule, 54, for repeatedly assaulting his 17-year-old biological daughter, leading to her pregnancy. The incident, which reportedly began in November 2024, was uncovered after a concerned relative filed a complaint with the police.
During interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime, and the affected child corroborated his statements. She revealed that the assaults occurred while her mother was away visiting relatives. A medical examination confirmed that the affected child is three months pregnant.
The Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, Sani-Omolori Aliyu, has directed that the case be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations. The authorities have assured the public of their commitment to ensuring justice in this disturbing case.
