Doral High School Teacher Arrested for Alleged Sexual Misconduct with Student
Edian Villar, a teacher at J.C. Bermudez Doral Senior High School, was arrested after another teacher walked in on him engaging in sexual activity with a 17-year-old student in his classroom. The witness immediately reported the incident to the school principal, leading to Villar’s arrest.
The student later told police that their relationship had evolved over the school year as Villar showed her special attention and included her in school clubs. Miami-Dade County Public Schools responded by stating that they were “disturbed by the unsettling allegations” and have begun termination proceedings against Villar.
Villar faces multiple charges, including unlawful sexual activity with a child, child abuse, offenses against students by authority figures, and contributing to the delinquency of a child. He remains in custody at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center with a bond yet to be determined.
