NSCDC Nabs Man for Allegedly Impregnating a 14-Year-Old Girl
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested a 47-year-old man, Muraino Lasisi, in Abeokuta for allegedly defiling and impregnating a 14-year-old girl.
A statement from the command’s spokesperson, Mr. Dyke Ogbonnaya, confirmed the arrest, stating that officers acted on a tip-off from a concerned neighbor. Lasisi reportedly admitted to the crime during interrogation.
Following a thorough investigation, the NSCDC secured a court order to remand the suspect in correctional service custody for 60 days, pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The Ogun State Commandant, Mrs. Remilekun Ekundayo, condemned the act and assured that justice would be served. She reaffirmed the corps’ commitment to protecting children, warning that offenders would face the full force of the law.
