Nearly half of the world’s children, about 1.1 billion, are now exposed to at least three overlapping climate hazards that threaten their health, education, and survival, according to a new UNICEF report. The report warns that almost every child globally faces at least one climate-related danger, while more than four million children are at risk of experiencing as many as six simultaneous threats, including extreme heat, drought, floods, wildfires, and tropical storms.
