Box Elder County Judge Arrested on Child Exploitation and Abuse Charges
Kevin Robert Christensen, a 64-year-old judge in Box Elder County, Utah, has been arrested on multiple child sexual abuse charges. The FBI’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force uncovered evidence of Christensen’s involvement in distributing and receiving child sexual abuse material online. He allegedly engaged in explicit conversations with children, including a 13-year-old and a 16-year-old, and solicited child sexual abuse material from others. In some chats, he even claimed to have abused children he was related to.
Christensen, who has served as a judge since 1996, was placed on administrative leave without pay following his arrest. His actions have severely undermined public trust in the justice system, given his position of authority and responsibility. He faces charges including enticing a child and attempted sexual exploitation of children.
