Meet Mmesoma Okonkwo, a brilliant and inspiring 17-year-old who hails from Anambra State, Nigeria, and currently resides in Lagos. A proud alumna of Chrisland High School, Victoria Garden City (VGC), where she held the esteemed role of Head Girl for the 2023 graduating set, Mmesoma is already making remarkable strides both academically and in her leadership journey.
Driven by a passion for business and excellence, Mmesoma plans to study Business Administration and recently celebrated a notable achievement: she recorded the highest score in English as a second language in the 2023 Cambridge IGCSE examination, achieving an impressive 100 percent. Her dedication extended to other subjects as well, where she excelled in Mathematics, Business Studies, ICT, Economics, and Biology. Reflecting on her preparation for the exams, Mmesoma acknowledged that while the journey was challenging, with consistent practice and unwavering support from her teachers, she was able to overcome obstacles and succeed.
Mmesoma draws inspiration from her parents, whose encouragement has fueled her determination to pursue her dreams. She chose Business Management as her area of study, seeing it as a versatile field that aligns with her passion and offers broad opportunities, especially in a rapidly evolving world driven by advancements in AI.
