Columbus Education’s Pivotal Evening: Celebrating Dr. Tina D. Pierce’s Leadership and Championing Children’s Right to Education

As dusk settled over Columbus, Ohio, on January 9, 2024, a momentous ceremony at 3700 South High Street marked a landmark occasion in the city’s educational annals. The Columbus Board of Education, governing Ohio’s largest school district, gathered to inaugurate its members for the upcoming term, with Dr. Tina D. Pierce, taking her oath as both a member and Vice President.

Administered by Ms. Terri D. Taylor, the oath of office was a solemn commitment from Dr. Pierce and her colleagues to champion the educational rights and welfare of the city’s youth.

This ceremony not only reaffirmed Dr. Pierce’s crucial role in shaping the educational landscape of Columbus’s children but also welcomed Ms. Jennifer Adair, Ms. Sarah Ingles, and Mr. Brandon Simmons, who were sworn in to serve the community.
