FG Releases Full List of JSS and SS Subjects Under New Curriculum

The Federal Government of Nigeria has released the comprehensive subject list for Junior and Senior Secondary Schools under the new national education curriculum, set to take effect in September 2025.
The curriculum, unveiled by the government and shared by Presidential aide Mr. Dada Olusegun, places strong emphasis on digital literacy, entrepreneurship, and emerging technologies.
Junior Secondary (JSS 1–3) Subjects
- Mathematics & Measurement
- English Language
- Integrated Science
- Digital Literacy & Coding
- Social Studies
- Languages (Mother tongue + French/Arabic)
- Creative Arts

Senior Secondary (SS 1–3) Subjects
- Mathematics & Advanced Applications
- English & Communication
- Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science)
- Technology & Innovation (Programming, AI, Robotics, Cybersecurity, Digital Entrepreneurship)

The Federal Government says this curriculum is designed to prepare students for a technology-driven global economy while also reinforcing civic knowledge and creativity.
