Four-Year-Old Hero Saves Teacher’s Life at Clarksville Daycare

A story out of Clarksville reminds us just how capable and courageous even the youngest children can be.

When a daycare teacher suddenly collapsed from a seizure, there was no other adult in the room. But four-year-old Kyndal Bradley noticed something was wrong and didn’t hesitate; she ran to get help.

Thanks to her quick action, paramedics arrived in time. They say that without Kyndal’s response, the outcome could have been tragically different.

Her mother, Taylor Moore, only learned what had happened when she came to pick up her daughter. Teachers at the daycare called Kyndal their “hero of the day.”

Moore later reflected on the importance of preparing children not only with basic knowledge, such as phone numbers and addresses, but also with an understanding of how to respond in emergencies.

Kyndal’s instinctive bravery demonstrates the remarkable awareness that children can have when given the chance to trust their own judgment. It’s also a reminder that children deserve to be equipped with safety knowledge and listened to when they raise an alarm.

Kyndal’s response is a powerful example of the right to participation in matters that affect them. Children are not just passive recipients of care; they are capable, thoughtful participants in shaping safer environments for themselves and others when their voices and actions are valued.
