Gunmen kill Three Students, Injure One In Yobe Boarding School

Gunmen believed to be Boko Haram terrorists attacked Faudiya Islamic Boarding School in Geidam, Yobe State, early on August 30, 2024. The assault, carried out by attackers on motorcycles armed with AK47 rifles, resulted in the deaths of three students and injuries to one. The school, operated by the Muslim Brotherhood Movement (Shi’ites), was targeted around 4:00 a.m. according to the Nigeria Police Force spokesperson, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim.
The Faudiya Islamic School in Geidam, Yobe State, was attacked by gunmen. Police, upon arriving at the scene, found that three students were killed and one was injured. The injured student is receiving medical treatment at Geidam Specialists Hospital. The school is run by the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (Shi’ites).
The victims of the attack were Muhammadu Saleh (22), Ahmed Abdulrahman (21), and Abdullahi Adamu (21) were killed in the attack, while Sani Haruna (25), who was injured, is receiving medical treatment.
Geidam, located 183 kilometers from Damaturu and near the Niger Republic border, was a major center of Boko Haram insurgency from 2012 to 2016. It is also the hometown of former Inspector General of Police, IGP Alkali Baba.
