Mom, 43, Charged After Conceiving Child With 14-Year-old Who Took Her Daughter to Dance
A 43-year-old Illinois mother, Robyn Polston, has been arrested after authorities say she gave birth to a child conceived with a 14-year-old boy. The same boy once attended a junior high dance with her daughter while she was chaperoning.
The investigation began after Polston gave birth in January 2025. According to court documents, the baby’s birth records raised immediate concern, and investigators later uncovered explicit communications between Polston and the teen.
Authorities say they used burner phones under false names and that Polston attempted to pressure the child into helping cover up the relationship.
A DNA test confirmed the boy is the father of the child. Prosecutors argued Polston could not be trusted to avoid further contact and noted that family members allegedly enabled the abuse.
She is currently held without bail on charges of criminal sexual assault of a child and possession of child pornography. Her next court date is December 4.
