Ondo Monarch Arrested for Kidnap, Sexual Abuse of 12-Year-Old Girl
The Ondo State Police Command has arrested Chief Adeniyi Ifedayo, the traditional ruler of Laaagba community in Ondo East LGA, for kidnapping and sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl over two weeks.
According to reports, the child was lured to the monarch’s residence by an unidentified commercial motorcycle rider. The suspect fed her with pap and sexually assaulted her daily.
The Police have confirmed the arrest and transferred the case to the state command headquarters for further investigation.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Ondo chapter, has condemned the abuse and called for justice, accountability, and stronger protections for children.
