Two educators in Massachusetts are facing involuntary manslaughter charges after a girl drowned on a summer field trip. A spokesperson for the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office, said 29-year-old Meghan Braley and 67-year-old Linda Whitacre have been indicted on charges including involuntary manslaughter, permitting serious bodily injury of a child and reckless endangerment of a child. The charges stem from the July 17, 2024, death of 12-year-old Giver Essien.
