A daycare in Sparks, Just Kidding Learning Center, has recently incorporated prayer into its daily routine despite not being affiliated with any church. Josh Lundin, whose four-year-old daughter Skylar attends the center, expressed concerns about this change. He argues that his daughter is too young to understand theology and finds it inappropriate for her to participate in prayer when it is not practiced at home. Lundin also noted that the prayer includes clear Catholic elements and claimed that despite the daycare’s assurance that prayer was optional, Skylar was pressured to participate and had her breakfast taken away when she did not. Other parents have also voiced concerns online, and Just Kidding Learning Center has declined to comment publicly.
