Some Virginia students claim that they are not getting easy access to pads and tampons despite a 2020 law that requires schools to provide free menstrual products in restrooms. According to Virginia’s LIS, each school board is required to make tampons or pads available at all times and with no cost to students. The law also requires products to be in accessible locations as deemed appropriate in each elementary school and the bathrooms of each middle school and high school.
