Hundreds of angry parents flood Middletown board hearing about closing three schools

Hundreds of Middletown residents massed around High School North Tuesday night, where some banged on windows of the school’s library and yelled at police officers to let them inside. Inside the high school library, the Board of Education met to discuss closing schools and redistricting students, a move aimed at closing a $10 million budget gap in the school system’s $197 million operating budget.
