Curtis Jack of Georgia received a 50-year prison sentence for attempting to murder his 18-day-old daughter by adding antifreeze to her milk in October 2020. The baby, under the care of her grandmother and aunt while her mother was hospitalized, suffered severe reactions to the toxic substance, ethylene glycol. She was diagnosed with poisoning but survived. The South Fulton police quickly identified Jack as the suspect, leading to his confession during interrogation. He had also previously urged the baby’s mother to terminate her pregnancy. Found guilty of attempted murder and first-degree cruelty to children, Jack’s trial included testimony from family members and medical experts.
