The New York City Department of Education is preparing its school bus crews for potential run-ins with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers, according to a memo obtained by the Advance/SILive.com.
The memo, sent last week to bus dispatchers from the Office of Pupil Transportation, states the Department of Education and Project Open Arms are working to put a “system in place for bus crews to follow should they be approached by non-law enforcement officers such as ICE.”
