Private School Vouchers are coming to Georgia | Here’s what that Means and who Qualifies

< 1 min read

Georgia is preparing to launch the Georgia Promise Scholarship program, which will allow parents to apply for state funds to help pay for private school tuition, homeschooling supplies, or early college courses. Starting next year, eligible families can receive up to $6,500 annually. This program aims to provide more educational choices for families, especially those in low-performing school districts. The state will soon open an online application for the 2025-26 academic year. To qualify, students must live in areas with public schools in the bottom 25% for academic performance. Jeanelle Webb, an advocate for the program, believes it will offer much-needed opportunities for parents seeking better education options.
