Several school districts have made changes in response to the severe weather forecast from Hurricane Helene:
- Greenwood School District 50 and 52 will both have eLearning days on Friday, Sept. 27, with all after-school activities canceled for Thursday, Sept. 26.
- Laurens County School District 55 will also have an eLearning day on Friday, but schools will be open on Thursday, Sept. 26, although all athletic events and after-school activities are canceled. Homecoming events are postponed to Oct. 4.
- Oconee County Schools will implement an eLearning day on Friday. Thursday will be a normal school day, but afternoon and evening activities are canceled. A decision regarding eLearning for Thursday will be announced by 6 a.m. if severe weather is expected.
