Spotlight of the Week: Osayuwamen Saleh – Media Entrepreneur and Advocate for Transformative Education

This week, we celebrate the exceptional journey of Mrs. Osayuwamen Saleh, a visionary media entrepreneur who has dedicated her life to creating transformative change through captivating storytelling and education. As the founder and CEO of Parallax Consulting Ltd, Uwa (as she is fondly known) uses her media platform to challenge societal norms and inspire positive action. Her media company specializes in thought-provoking talk shows, documentaries, films, and podcasts that not only inform but also empower individuals to pursue personal growth and community transformation.

Empowerment Through Media

At the heart of Mrs. Osayuwamen Saleh’s mission is the belief in the power of media to influence societal change. Her flagship creation, “WAYS” (What Are You Saying), is a live panel show that brings African youth into the conversation on critical issues affecting the continent. With over 1,000 live episodes and millions of viewers, “WAYS” has become a vital platform for addressing topics that matter most to the youth, fostering dialogue, and promoting active citizenship.

Commitment to Transformative Education

Mrs. Osayuwamen Saleh’s passion for education and self-development is evident in her extensive personal journey of continuous learning. She holds certifications as an NLP Master Practitioner, along with qualifications in product management, project management, and SME development. Her commitment extends beyond herself; she actively mentors young people and counsels women facing various challenges through her involvement with numerous NGOs. Her work highlights her firm belief that education and a transformed mindset are key to unlocking individual potential.

The Osayuwamen Saleh Foundation International (O.S.F.I.)

In 2017, Mrs. Osayuwamen Saleh founded the Osayuwamen Saleh Foundation International (O.S.F.I.), furthering her mission of empowering future generations. The foundation’s signature initiative—West Africa’s Biggest Board Games Tournaments—encourages children to discover and hone their intellectual potential through play. By merging education with play, Uwa creatively demonstrates how learning can be both fun and impactful.

A Vision of Empowerment

Mrs. Osayuwamen Saleh’s vision is not only to uplift individuals but to shatter stereotypes and foster inclusive growth. Her mantra, “You have one life, make the most of it, and help others succeed while you’re at it,” reflects her drive to not only achieve personal success but to bring others along on the journey. Through her work in media and education, she continues to break down barriers and create pathways for empowerment, inspiring countless people to take control of their futures.

Impact Beyond Media

Whether it’s on television, in the classroom, or through her foundation, Mrs. Osayuwamen Saleh’s influence is far-reaching. She exemplifies what it means to be a transformational leader, using her platforms to address pressing social issues, promote continuous learning, and guide young people toward becoming informed and empowered citizens.
