Super Dupper: A First Grader’s Love Song to Family

Today was a day full of adventures on Adapted Mind. I picked the first-grade level and dove right in. What I found was not just fun, it was a whole world of love.
I call it my Super Dupper day.
It started with a silly “BOO!” and turned into the most fun fishing trip ever. Then came the best part: thinking about my family and all the things I love about them.
My mom’s cheeks are the softest. Daddy Stark makes the yummiest toast. Grandma? She’s my best friend forever. And when I’m with my family, we laugh and giggle so much that it feels like sunshine in my heart.
I sang a song in my head, or maybe out loud. I’m not sure.
Sometimes I sing, “Zipper, Dipper!” instead, it just feels right when you’re really happy. There were lots of silly sounds too, like “doo doo doo” and “di, di, di,” because love is kind of like music. It dances.
I even made my own breakfast today! I said, “Ta-da!” when it was done. Maybe it wasn’t perfect, but I tried my best. And that’s what matters, right?
Later, I tiptoed so my family could rest a little longer. I was quiet and proud. Because love is also about caring, not just singing loud songs and giving big hugs.
By the end, I counted out loud, all the way to ten, to show just how much I love them. Actually, I love them more than ten. I love them forever.
So here it is. My story. My song. My family.
Super Dupper forever.
