Wyoming Child Porn Investigation Leads to Major Raid and Rescue in the Philippines

What began as a standard child pornography investigation in Lincoln County, Wyoming, culminated in an international rescue operation. Authorities in Wyoming and the Philippines collaborated to dismantle a sex trafficking ring, resulting in the rescue of nine children and the arrest of multiple suspects.
The case started with the apprehension of Kelly Jasperson in Wyoming. Evidence connected him to a sex trafficking ring in the Philippines, where children were forced into live-streaming sex acts. The ensuing investigation involved various agencies, including the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), U.S. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and the Philippines National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
In February, the NBI launched a raid in the Philippines, arresting multiple suspects and rescuing children aged 5 months to 16 years. DCI and local agents observed the raid via a Zoom call, witnessing the live negotiation and subsequent rescue operation.
This case underscores the effectiveness of international cooperation in combating child exploitation, bringing a significant and dramatic conclusion to a harrowing investigation.
