Joshua, a resident of the community, was alleged to have scaled the fence of a house belonging to one Abubakar Morufu Olalekan. A security guard stationed at the residence opened fire on him, leaving the teenager fatally wounded. He reportedly bled to death in the compound before any help could reach him.

The situation has sparked tension as Joshua’s parents accused the homeowner’s household of deliberately killing their son, while residents remain divided over the security guard’s action.
