17-Year-Old Arrested After Fatal Shooting at Arlington QuikTrip

Two young men were killed and another was injured during a shooting late Saturday night at a QuikTrip gas station in Arlington, Texas, police said.
Officers responded around 10:06 p.m. to the 5600 block of South Cooper Street, where they found three men shot. A 19-year-old and a 20-year-old were found unresponsive in the parking lot and later died at the hospital. The affected people have been identified as Ayaz Abdullah, 19, and Omed Abdal, 20.
A third person, a 19-year-old man, was shot in the foot and has since been treated and released from the hospital.
Police said multiple people involved in the incident, including the shooter, remained at the scene. A seventeen-year-old was arrested and charged with one count of capital murder and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Investigators determined that two groups had gotten into a physical fight in the parking lot before the boy allegedly retrieved a firearm from his vehicle and opened fire. Authorities said it is still unclear who started the altercation.
The investigation is ongoing.
