Hundreds of students from Marion Community School gathered at the Walton Performing Arts Centre to perform “Elliot’s Song,” a heartwarming tribute to a special needs student named Elliot, who has spinal muscular atrophy (SMA). The song, inspired by a fairy-tale adventure about pirates and treasure, was written by a kindergartener and his brother, a senior at Marion High School. With the support of the Sing Me a Story Foundation and composer Jonathan New, the song came to life, giving Elliot a chance to express himself. The community came together to witness the emotional performance, which aimed to raise awareness and funds for SMA research.
