Computer Whiz Who Died at 15 to Become First Millennial Saint

Carlo Acutis, a 15-year-old computer prodigy who died of leukemia in 2006, is set to become the Catholic Church’s first millennial saint. Pope Francis and the College of Cardinals approved Acutis’ canonization on Monday, according to Vatican News. Born in London on May 3, 1991, Acutis moved to Milan with his Italian parents as a child. He was beatified by Pope Francis in Assisi in 2020, becoming the youngest contemporary person to receive this honor.
