At Babcock University’s 22nd convocation ceremony, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ademola Tayo highlighted the institution’s significant challenge with high electricity tariffs, which amounted to ₦300 million in May. He urged the government to reduce these tariffs, noting their adverse impact on the quality of education in Nigeria. The ceremony celebrated 2,842 graduates, including 132 first-class students and 16 distinctions in the School of Clinical Sciences. Prof. Tayo praised the students’ transformation and acknowledged the crucial support from families and faculty. The guest speaker for the event was legal practitioner Mr. Wole Olanipekun.
