Colo. Professor Called 911 Saying He’d Found Wife and Baby Dead. Then Police Found Blood on His Knuckles

< 1 min read

Nicholas Myklebust, a 44-year-old professor at Regis University, has been arrested following the deaths of his wife and infant daughter. On July 29, Myklebust reported finding his wife bleeding and their daughter not breathing. The wife had blunt force injuries, while the child had no visible injuries. Myklebust claimed his wife fell from a step ladder, but her injuries were inconsistent with this explanation. Authorities noted bruising and scratches on Myklebust and found evidence suggesting tampering with the crime scene. He has been charged with first-degree murder in his wife’s death. The baby is the second infant to die in Myklebust’s care; the previous case had no charges filed. The investigation is ongoing.
