Dustin Carl Lee Perry and Lindsey Barbara Marie Hamilton, both 26, were arrested in Iowa after their child was found covered in feces on the street. The child, who has developmental disabilities, had allegedly escaped from a makeshift cage made of a portable crib, a baby gate, and zip ties. Police discovered the cage at their residence in Hamburg, Iowa, where another child was also found. The couple had reportedly instructed relatives to confine the child in the cage. Additional children were removed from the home, and another homemade cage was found in a different location. Perry and Hamilton are being held without bond, and further charges are expected.
