At Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, 556 students applied for the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND). Of these, 304 were approved on August 16, 2024. The university’s Student Affairs Unit is currently verifying the applicants. Despite concerns raised by the South-East caucus of the National Assembly about the exclusion of South-East institutions from the loan disbursement, the university asserts that it is included in the NELFUND program.
