A woman, 22-year-old Latalia Anjolie Margalli, faces murder and assault charges for allegedly driving her SUV into a crowd in downtown Minneapolis, resulting in the death of 16-year-old De’Miaya Broome and injuring at least five others. The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office charged her with second-degree murder and five counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon. According to the criminal complaint, an altercation occurred between two groups before Margalli drove into the crowd without braking. De’Miaya was pronounced dead at the hospital, and other victims suffered serious injuries. Margalli is currently jailed on a $1.5 million bond.
